Journalism Interactive conference!

The sold-out Journalism Interactive Conference was a resounding success. Hundreds of attendees representing more than 120 different journalism and communication schools converged on the University of Maryland Oct. 28-29 to explore strategies and challenges of teaching journalism in the digital age.

J/i Contest Winners: Congratulations to Nick Gnat, the Arizona State University student whose business plan for a startup called Qayto won the $500 prize in the J/i Entrepreneurial Pitch Contest.

Additional kudos to Kathleen Culver, the University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty member who walked away with a new iPod Touch after her Qik video interview won the Mobile Mania contest.

And the iPad2 went home with Dr. Kristal Zook, associate professor of Hofstra University, winner of the early-bird registration drawing.
