There are two great opportunities to participate in the 2015 Journalism Interactive conference.

Student Innovation Showcase

EXTENDED deadline to apply: Feb. 6, 2015

The J/i 2015 planning committee is now accepting proposals from faculty who wish to bring a student or team of students to the Journalism Interactive 2015 conference to present an innovative project or research they carried out during the 2014-2015 school year. One faculty member and up to three students on participating teams will receive free registration to the 2015 conference if selected to participate in the Student Innovation Showcase.

Teach-A-Thon

EXTENDED deadline to apply: Feb. 6, 2015

The fourth annual J/i Teach-A-Thon will take place on the afternoon of Friday, April 24, 2015 in Columbia, Mo.  Submit your idea for a short presentation on a strategy, technique or tool for teaching any aspect of interactive news, digital journalism or communication.

People whose submissions are selected by the J/i national planning committee will receive free registration and get five minutes on stage to show their stuff in this rapid-fire session.

An early bird rate of $265 is available until December 15, 2014. After that date, registration will be $320. Be sure to register early to receive the best rate.
