The organizers of Journalism Interactive want to include as many different voices and perspectives as possible. Toward that goal, we are inviting you to submit proposals for a few programs:
Research-in-Progress Roundtables
The Journalism Interactive Conference is soliciting proposals for informal oral presentations at research roundtable discussions to be held at the conference over breakfast on Saturday, October 29. The goal is to offer new media researchers an opportunity to hold an interactive dialogue with colleagues on questions they are actively researching or planning to investigate. CLOSED PROGRAMS
Teach-A-Thon
Free travel and conference admission is available to journalism educators selected to make 5-minute presentations on any digital strategies/tools/concepts they employ in teaching journalism in the context of digital media. The "Teach-a-thon" presentations will be held back-to-back in rapid succession on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. NO LONGER ACCEPTING PROPOSALS
Student Scholarships
The J/i conference will award two scholarships for students to attend Journalism Interactive, paying their travel expenses and providing full-conference admission at no cost. Eligible students must be enrolled at a journalism college in the United States and be either graduate or undergraduate journalism majors. Deadline to submit is Sept. 2. NO LONGER ACCEPTING PROPOSALS
